Wednesday, May 3, 2017 - Dark yellow colour. Rich, powerful nose of butter, salted caramel, lemon curd, and pineapple, with hints of shallot and spring onion. The palate has a base note of dull oxidation, intermingling with bold flavours of pineapple, lemon, spring onion, sherry, and nuts.
I thought this tasted nothing like the bottle I tasted in 2013, whose flavours I found exceptionally pale and delicate, whereas this bottle showed big, bold, Chardonnay-like flavours. I think this bottle was significantly more oxidised, and this showed in the darker colour and on the palate (though I didn't detect any hint of oxidation on the nose).
