Wednesday, November 21, 2018 - Inaugural vintage for this wine. Decanted and put back into the bottle for two hours before drinking. Dark purple color. Almost brooding. Very 99 in nature. This is at the very beginning of it drinking window and will be a 40+ year wine. Great balance of fruit, structure and acidity. Red fruit, dark fruit, charcoal and ash, moderate spice with some earth and forest floor, good complexity. Overall a great wine from a great producer.
