Community Tasting Note

Thursday, August 30, 2018 - 14.2% alcohol. Almost nine years after the last note, and this wine is showing marvelously. The color is a translucent red cherry. The nose was not giving much at first, but by the second glass, it started moving, and by the third pour? It was soaring. A beautiful, refined, elegant expression of red cherry fruit, baking spice, and flowers. In the mouth, this certainly has a more mature mouth feel, but the wine doesn't feel old at all. The cherry fruit is on point, like a laser, and the mouth feel is pure velvet. No reason to wait on these, unless you want to see how much secondary expression may come. But this is just a joy right now. A-/A
