Sunday, November 26, 2017 - Prior bottle was almost 10 months to the day ago and the wine seems unsurprisingly nearly identical. Opened at 46F, warming to 50F and at first I thought it might be a little cool, but it control some of the sweetness, just enough to allow the orchard fruit to be more expressive. Very pretty nose of crystalline peach, pear, melon and floral notes. Remains medium bodied with the same mix of peach and pear, evolving to apricot and orange, finishing with citrus, green apple and lemon. The acidity isn't full bore the way it is with the 2015s currently, but it provides excellent contrast and overall structure and helps to bring out the fruit notes both upfront and through the finish. Should continue to evolve positively for several more years with a long life ahead. Wish I had more.
