This bottle was just as good as the last - chalky black and red fruit of tremendous purity is supported by tobacco, green capsicum, soil, undergrowth and a slight black pepperiness. It's also a little smoky. There is wonderful detail on the nose and palate. The acidity is crisp, giving the wine good length and the tannins impart nice grip on the finish. One of those wines that has a roundness of tannin and fruit on the palate, but also offers laser like focus. Excellent stuff. Wish I had more.
