Wednesday, September 12, 2018 - Well-made cru Beaujolais with attractive balance comprising charming cherry-strawberry fruit flavor together with a crisp acid spine and just enough tannic pucker to make for a satisfying red tipple. Good for a mid-week glass to accompany the evening meal. Brun's cru wines - to my taste - are distinguished by their purity and good balance, but not by depth or complexity, even in the context of Beaujolais wines.

I'd expect to cellar a cru Desvignes or Coudert longer, waiting for additional development, but this wine strikes me one with virtues best enjoyed now or within a year or two.
