Does not like this wine:

Friday, December 21, 2012 - Poured blind. I guessed California pinot on account of the sweet Jolly Rancher taste. Not a fan.

Drinking a fat fruited wine sort of nullifies the point of having a premier cru Burgundy. I am totally with you on some '09s being too heavy on the fruit. Hopefully cellar time will help them out. Many '05s were that way and are starting to get more lean on the fruit. sadly most '03s have too much alcohol once the fruit starts to fade.

I like the vintage very much--and Jadot aced the Clos des Ursules. I believe the way this wine shows reflects specific stylistic decisions that were made for it that aren't reflective of the rest of the stable here. If I were making cellaring bets I'd sooner put my chips on Ursules or the other Beaune 1er crus.

I have only had a couple of '09 where I found them heavily fruit forward, and most were on the village level. I really like the '08 and '10 vintages and have high hopes for '11.
