Thursday, February 6, 2014 - Westchester Wine School Premium Burgundy Tasting (Mamaroneck, NY): Drank at WWS tasting blind vs. Arnoux Echezeaux. This wine was a medium ruby color, showing no signs of age. A spicy, fruity nose. Medium to full-bodied, with lots of red ripe fruit. A pronounced spicy edge to this wine. Overall, this wine came across as a bit over extracted and oaky, somewhat ordinary wine. Not much length either. Perhaps some bottle age will improve its qualities.
