Thursday, March 25, 2010 - French-No Duds Here (Nopa, San Francisco): Deep and primary looking. Beautiful floral and sour cherry notes that reminded me of Griottes. Perhaps a bit less interesting in the mouth; one very savvy taster at the table accused it of being rather modern in style and lacking soul. I don't begrudge it its cleanness and mainly think that the nose is ahead of the palate and that it is just too young at present.
