Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - Big nose and palate. Lots of subdued fruit in the midpalate, not strawberries or bright fruit but not plum either. Boysenberry was astutely suggested by my wine god, Victor Abascal of Vines on the Marycrest out of Paso (try them sometime!). The tail end has a graphite emphasis. The mouth feel is mid to heavy and chewy with a long finish. We tasted the 2010 at the winery in Australia and it might be even better : )
