Monday, December 1, 2014 - 87% syrah, 10% mourvedre, 3% grenache. 15.2% alcohol. Blood red center with a violet rim. Highly expressive nose of raspberry and cherry mixed with a touch of soy and tobacco. The palate is deep with red-fruits, black pepper, and mineral notes. There is balanced acidity and youthful, but rounded tannins with air. Overall, I expected more ripeness, but the firmness and overall flavor profile make this a very enjoyable wine.
