Saturday, January 5, 2013 - Big structured, bold, fruit bomb of a wine. Open in the bottle about six hours.
Dark cassis, plums, ripe fruit. Milky chocolate, lots of oak. Very masculine and brooding.
Palate confirms cassis, and black fruit. More darker chocolate. Really over the top, but some nice acidity.
This should last for at least another ten to fifteen years. The warm vintage is showing with some heat on the back end.
