Friday, November 11, 2022 - Garnet, brownish edge, medium(-) intensity. Mature(-) nose of mature plums, black currant and roots. Dry, medium acidity, medium finely grained tannins, medium body. Austere, fresh maturity. Interwoven intense flavours, enveloped by old oak. Very, very good length. Bordeaux, yes, still a nice something additional.
Follows over five days, day 5: Bouquet as above. A lot of dark fruit left. Powdery afterfeel. Concentration. So good. Best day?

Second wine to Ch. Haut-Brion (from 2007 named Le Clarence de Haut-Brion). Blend of mainly Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon plus Cabernet Franc.
