Friday, February 15, 2013 - A few Veleta wines with Nola and Juan Palomar (Emilio's Tapas Sol y Nieve, Chicago, IL): Nose: There is a real lushness to the nose with good balance to the tones of red fruits, licorice, red cherries, spice tones, fresh picked berries, and some herbs.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium acidity and some silky tannins. Well balanced with tones of red fruits, licorice, red cherries, spice tones and some fresh picked berries.

Overall: This was a really good wine. There was a plushness to the nose and palate with solid depth on both as well.
