Decanted off its sediment and served with supper. Cassis, blackberry and lavender notes. Tannins have mostly integrated, but there is a bit of structure supporting the cassis and plum fruit. Balanced, with plenty of fruit left. Nice value. 89-90 pts for both Domino and I.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium acidity and some silky tannins. Well balanced with tones of red fruits, licorice, red cherries, spice tones and some fresh picked berries.
Overall: This was a really good wine. There was a plushness to the nose and palate with solid depth on both as well.

Took a while to settle down. Interesting, but suffered from a bit of cork taint or the like.

Smokey cigar and burning herbs on the nose. Dark and dry - Bordeaux comes to mind - with a hard black fruit frame.
I quite enjoyed this wine, but my intellectual analysis leads my to a lower score.

Loads of lush dark fruit with earth and herb undertones. Velvety tannins.

A few Veleta wines with Nola and Juan Palomar (Emilio's Tapas Sol y Nieve, Chicago, IL): Nose: There is a real lushness to the nose with good balance to the tones of red fruits, licorice, red cherries, spice tones, fresh picked berries, and some herbs.
