Tuesday, January 28, 2014 - This was drank at a local restaurant after 45 minutes of decanting. Tonight, this very slightly cloudy wine was showing really well. It was ruby red in colour with a nose of candied cherries. In the glass was cherries as well as a ton of caramel and vanilla. Both the acidity and tannins were in very good balance and although the alcohol level of this wine is quite high, you wouldn't know it.
