Sunday, January 1, 2012 - I don't know about it being "under fruited", but it's definitely not an overly fruity wine. I'd say that it is quite balanced, with some really interesting characters on the nose and palate. On the nose, I get blackberry, smoke, a bit of spice and some pleasant earthiness. It's drinking quite well now, and probably shouldn't be aged too much longer. The tanins are medium and balanced, and I pickup some nice dark fruit with some nice complexity. Don't let the NV turn you off, this is another nice Steven Kent.
