I'd say that it is quite balanced, with some really interesting characters on the nose and palate. On the nose, I get blackberry, smoke, a bit of spice and some pleasant earthiness. It's drinking quite well now, and probably shouldn't be aged too much longer. The tanins are medium and balanced, and I pickup some nice dark fruit with some nice complexity. Don't let the NV turn you off, this is another nice Steven Kent.
