Tuesday, August 16, 2016 - Magnum. A great example of why I love to buy wines in a so called 'off vintage' from a solid producer. Bright and lively, with commendable balance and perfect ripeness. Not one to make old bones, but in this format, it's got 5-6 years of highly pleasurable drinking yet ahead. I paired this with a grilled pork tenderloin with a raspberry/chipotle glaze and the bottle (6 adults) drained it in no time. Nothing overly complex here, but for $39/magnum, I'm very happy (thank you again, lifting acidity). 14,0% abv. recommended
Slow-O 2 hours, served non-blind. Purchased on release.
