Wednesday, March 7, 2012 - Light to medium yellow. All grapefruit pith on the nose. Light weight, not as glycerine and layered as the Boulay single vineyard wines can be. Mixed citrus-lime and orange with bitters, soil and limestone toward the end. Just a smidgen of sweetness and ripeness pokes through. Good, but I'm disappointed that given the significant price differential, it is not that much better than the basic Sancerre. I expect more of the Mont Damnes.
