Decant for 30 minutes. Pale translucent gold in colour. Fresh, sea shells, mineral, white stone fruit. Medium body, luscious, nectarine, white peach, mild tang of acidity, minor lemon and lime with a mineral salivating long finish. Less tropical than previous tastings. The 2010 Boulay Clos de Beaujeu is a fave. A wine to be savoured, swirled, all mouth coating/ washing/ rinsing it can be the centre of attention and lessor dishes distraction.
Oh man, am I sorry to say this was my last one of these. This is just entering that magical time of life. Color is darkening from straw to light gold. Nose is delivering more in the way of resinous qualities on top of the green apple and tropical fruit. In the mouth, however is where the aging is most appreciated. A little bit of hazel-nuttiness is starting to set in. Generous and bright, high acidity and big stones. 91+
Excellent Sancerre, good balance of acidity, citrus fruit, and minerals. Lovely with BBQ Halibut. Third night this had a creaminess as well, so do think this could age gracefully. Glad I have another, we'll see if I have the patience this deserves.
