Saturday, December 1, 2018 - My third bottle in 14 months. Settled down after 10 minutes and showed only better over the 1-1.5h we followed it. Hefty and really complex stuff. So much going on. Golden and bruised apples, dark yellow fruits, coffee, sherry, tobacco, honey, oak, almonds, vanilla touch and smoke... Still there is a tension and freshness to the wine that is quite mind boggling. Long finnish. Bit rough edges first 45 mins, but from then smoothened out turning out more of its Burgundian side - including a bold and sweet oaky note. Think this wine has more to show, perhaps 2 - 4 years imo. Captivating stuff. 94-95p.
