93 Points

Friday, February 8, 2013 - Herbaceous nose. Some wet leaves/forest floor on the palate with fruit. Meat on the finish, lamb perhaps. There are tannins remaining here. This could take another couple of years, believe it or not. Not sure proceedings will be better, mind. Typical complexity through the palate that you'd expect from a Pegau.
Battled vs 98 Barbe Rac. I have the Pegau winning on points given the greater complexity. The BR has some interesting tanginess (citrus??) and waxiness that is attractive in its own way but it does not hold together like the Pegau does.
