87 Points

Friday, March 7, 2014 - The 2006 Chateau Chevalier Cabernet Sauvignon rates as 87 points with the CellarTracker community. Wine Spectator does not have a rating for the 2006 vintage of this wine, but rates the 2005 and 2008 vintages as 83 and 85, respectively. I align with the CellarTracker rating of 87. Cabernet sauvignon is a grape that enjoys many great vintages from a multitude of wine producers. While a rating of 87 is not particularly impressive, it is a decent score for a random occasion red wine, which appropriately fits the 2006 Chateau Chevalier Cabernet Sauvignon. However, at a price point of $30 per bottle one is sure to find better cabernet options. This wine would be a good deal in the low $20 range.

Rating Scale: Extraordinary (95-100 points); Outstanding (90-94); Very Good to Excellent (85-89); Good (80-84); Average (75-79); Below average (70-74); Avoid (50-69)

Note: Cost reflects base price only; it excludes any taxes and shipping.
