Wednesday, July 1, 2015 - It is hot in n/w Europe, I am talking sub sahara hot... Putting your nose into this wine already cools you down a couple of degrees. This is citrus galore, with white flowers some grass and bushy/herbal flavors. Salinity is definitely there as well (or was that a drop of sweat?). And we are in Sancerre, so "Kimmeridgien" chalky goodness is a given. Also in taste, but there is a certain richness to this as well, it is not lean. There is the slightest bit of cream in the taste that takes this to another level. Still undeniably sancerre. Finish is medium.
