Friday, September 29, 2023 - A pale golden yellow hue. This was in a perfect spot. Very fresh, but with some development. On the nose, this was classical with fresh citrus notes, citrus oil, hazelnut and white fruits. Also some tropical/yellow fruit notes as it warmed up and opened with air. The palate has a lovely sense of citrus driven intensity and weight, but without any heaviness. Viscous with lots of dry extract on the midpalate. No sense of Premox. Very fresh still and balanced. Ripe white orchard fruit, citrus, and stoney acidity that gives the wine lift. Layered complexity on the back palate. This is at a perfect stage of maturity for my palate, but has lots of energy and is still drinking quite young. A long life ahead for those that want to weight. Long, citrus and honeyed finish.
