Thursday, November 26, 2020 - Expressive nose displaying ripe black and red fruit, crème de cassis, plum, roasted tomato, a hint of green, rose, lead pencil, coffee, cedar, caramel and earth. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of rich black fruit, quite dense and rich but also silk and polished, medium acidity, earthy mineral, nicely integrated tannins and a long sweet black fruit driven finish. Ripe California fruit and green Cabernet expressions coexist which is interesting. This is a great old school cab that is drinking beautifully.
