Sunday, October 14, 2012 - Dark ruby solid colour. Fresh on the nose. Blackberries, plums, not so much earth as expected and not nearly as developed colour/nose as the 1999 and 2001 I have opened recently. Big and long taste, supporting the nose. Moderate tannins, somewhat integrated already but still present. Drinking well now and was good with deep tasting, slow cooked bolognese sauce and pasta. Will match steak even better. Have 2 magnums of the same and will leave for another 2 years or so.
