Monday, August 23, 2004 - Inky purple, somewhat muted nose of plums, cassis and a hint of spice. Smooth on the entry with tannins immediately noticeable. Oak is evident mid-palate with a medium finish. After the second day, the tannnis smoothed out and the wine gained strength on the nose and more flavor on the palate. I doubt that this will be a long-term ager but should sort itself out after time in the cellar. I like this wine especially at this price range.
