Friday, July 24, 2015 - With Valerie, Sharon and Killer...had this with the main course of "Pond View" Skirt Steak and Summer veggies, great pairing. These bottles have been in my cellar since release, good excuse to check in on them. Decanted for about 60 minutes, drank over 2 hours.

Deep purple/red color. Rich nose, really comes out on the decant. Dark fruits, pine and forest floor on the nose. Palate repeats with dark fruits, cassis, spice, chocolate, and tobacco. Beautiful finish, elegant and bold at the same time. No question its California origin. Still young
