Sunday, October 9, 2011 - Drank over dinner with friends after an array of wines, so no formal notes were taken. Yellow-gold. Intense roast almonds, chalky minerality, green apples and citrus fruit with some tropical scents on the nose. Med+ bodied, with nice fruit, toast, minerality and moderate acidity. Very long aftertaste. This is an off-vintage and so far I have red mostly negative reviews, but all of us were so enthusiastic about it, its only drawback being its relatively low acidity and the fact that it has already reached its maturity stage. That said, this was really enjoyable and memorable.
