Sunday, April 26, 2020 - Comtes Lafon Virtual Tasting with Lea and Pierre Lafon (Planet Earth): Opened 3 hours before serving, in order to share with other quarantined tasters. Honeycomb, dried apricot, and marzipan traces. Dense, meaty and complex with layers of flavors that kept unfolding over at least an hour in glass. Shockingly bright for its age, despite clearly dark color. Possibly the best of the 6 bottles so far from this case. Started shortening and fading after two hours in glass.
