Friday, March 22, 2024 - Tasted Blind. Unfortunately this appears to be a bid advanced. Slightly darker than you would expect with a rich bruised apple nose that didn’t have the fresher (and minty!) profile. After some time in the glass, however, the nose freshened up, the mint/spearmint came out to play, and there was a more lifted profile with some light spice as well. The palate is dense and concentrated, but just a few steps back of where you would like it to be. Certainly an enjoyable wine, and one that got better with air, but it never really got into top form.
