Quite savoury on the nose, red berries and sous bois. Salty and floral. High toned palate, more savoury and red berry fruit, and it leaves you with a prickly sensation in the mouth. Profile is quite lean, sharp acidity, very light in weight/body. I quite like this, although I don’t think the leanness and profile would be ideal for those who prefer richer/rounder wines. In the zone now and I don’t see this getting any better with further age.

Magnum. Very consistent with my last mag - typical Northern Rhone in profile with whole-cluster, olive and earthy dark fruit notes. I don't see a ton of upside in aging this further as it's very good right now, but will certainly drink well for another 5 years.

This was brilliant and showing extremely well. Classic Krug notes, biscuits and nutty nose with fresh apple and citrus on the palate. Doesn’t have the structure and firmness of the 95/96/98 etc, but is elegant, classy and rich all at once. Well balanced and in a great spot for drinking right now.
