88 Points

Sunday, May 18, 2014 - This wine is a collaboration between 2 producers. The wine is made by Alain Graillot who produces wines in the Northern Rhone. Thalvin has been making wine in Morocco since 1920 and is the oldest operating winery in the country. This is 100% syrah. Drank this next to a pair of Washington Syrah with a smoked beef brisket. Medium red color. The lightest of the 3 Syrah. Notes of cranberries and bing cherries. Solid tannins. Surprisingly nice for a wine from Africa and good value since I got this on sale for $8. 87 points.
