Sunday, September 13, 2009 - Trimbach Frederic Emile Retrospective--1979 to 2001 (Absinthe Restaurant, San Francisco): Yellow color with mint and petrol. Rich and off dry-this is sweeter than the 375th Anniversary bottling, and more open and approachable than either of the other two '01 Frederic Emile cuvees. More forward fruit, but more loosely knit and ultimately duller than the other 2 wines tonight. My least favorite of the sweet wines.
