Monday, April 16, 2012 - Medium yellow color. Nose opens with faint petrol and honey. Very well balanced, nice acid to sweetness ratio. Like the fact that both the sweetness and acid is tempered. Tasting some mild apricot, Meyer lemon and some green apple. Also a guava and kumquat note. Trace minerals on the finish. Hopeful that the nose will become more pronounced and it will become more complex. With more on the nose would have scored in the 90's, especially at this price point where one can buy a amazing dessert wine. Day 2 more nose action including: apple, pineapple and guava. Tastes like it did yesterday. Based on reputation, I was expecting more. Could not recommend at the over $40 price point.
