Saturday, March 5, 2016 - An Evening at the Rock Pile-Trimbach Riesling and de Montille Volnay Taillepieds (San Francisco): Golden, deepest tint of the 3 different Frederic Emiles. Some definite botrytis and citrus notes. Some low pitched stone fruit as well. Full bodied, moderately sweet. Baked apple and spice flavors, retains great acidity. Great wine almost at full maturity. Don't expect an unctuous sweet wine, though. Yes, there is noble rot, but it is more rich than sugary.
