Saturday, January 16, 2016 - (Disgorged spring of 2006) Less dark yellow colour compared to other cuvées from 1996. Nose is still very youthful but with a very good mix showing oak, mature apples, plums, walnuts and dried fruits. The palate is smooth and dominated by apples and oak which gives a nice long acidic finish showing lime peel. Typical '96 showing acidity and freshness, feeling much younger than other cuvées from the same age. Very good matching with food and will surely keep on evolving for a decade or two. Best 2016-2036.
