2/6/2017 7:49:00 PM - Not sure if you've been to Lisini, thinking not. I've been, a half dozen times. As traditional as you'll find. The 07, I think, might present as modern, but there's no modern part of the elevage. Just wanted you to know. Cheers.
I'll be there again in less than two months, let me know if you'd like specifics on what they do there (though most everything is already on the interwebz, erm, their site)
The irony of your note is that Andrea, at Uccelliera, is more likely to produce a 'modern' wine that Lisini ever will. And I love, Andrea, and his wines. And he knows that.
2/7/2017 6:28:00 AM - We did a 6-day wine-trek covering 7-10 miles per day thru Montalcino, Montepulciano, San Gimignano and visited Collosorbo but unfortunately not Lisini or Uccelliera although I purchased their wines from local Enoteca's and got hooked on both producers. Desperately need to get back to Tuscany!
