Monday, April 27, 2015 - Menthol on the nose. On the palate, jammy cherry followed by bitter cigar tobacco, with moderate silky tannins and good acidity. This is a decadent expression of Sangiovese -- rich and fruity, with tannins in the background, which seems to be characteristic of 2007 Brunello. It's a long way from traditional, although it is undeniably tasty. Excellent quality, but below average value for the money: A good Chianti Riserva could match it at a lower price.
