Saturday, May 12, 2018 - The first Mugneret 1er cru of 2010 I open. Put in a decanter 2 hours before. Dark color, fruit on the dark red side (cherries), earthy, good volume and length. It shows well his (excellent) terroir on the Vosne side of Nuits. Tasting this wine every year from barrel, it shows all the time its typical notes. The sisters Mugneret remark that this vineyard is extremely regular and without problems to be worked. Not yet fully in its drinking window, a short decant is helpful.
