Saturday, March 29, 2014 - Deep, dark colour. Served blind, seemed a much more primary, younger wine than the Fourrier. Bouquet of very ripe expressive red fruit: raspberries, redcurrants and red cherries, with some dark flowers. Sweet, fruity entry to the palate. Very primary on palate (I was guessing 2007 and thinking more Volnay than Gevrey). Polished, with very suave, fine grained tannins, flavours definitely in the red berry spectrum. But not without nuance and with bright acidity. The structure, fruit weight and power to carry this forward 10 years easily. Classy, 94.
