Friday, May 18, 2012 - Slow-O 3 hours. I could have decanted this for sediment (plenty) but didn't. The cork was soft and spongy, barely even soaked. The color, youthful ruby core, very little sign of age. I'm a happy man at this point, and the rest of the experience made me even more so. Superb aromatics of melted red licorice, garrigue, raspberries, grilled meat, clove and light toast. In an excellent place right now, the medium body well supported by ample acids, the tannins resolved, but still offering plenty of grip. This could go another decade, but I believe it to be at peak right now. Really quite elegant and a welcome surprise. recommended, 13,5%
