Tuesday, December 31, 2013 - Coming into its own early, lacking the punch of most top tier Napa cab/ cab blends, there's a very left bank evocation here that's delicious and easy to admire. The nose has a tarry terrestrial density with dark berries and Arabian mocha and Peruvian toffee. In the mouth it's soft and round from a judicious dose of merlot. In the absence of big fruit, there's a beautiful underlying gravelly element that may be the most compelling aspect of the wine.
