Tuesday, December 30, 2014 - Wine is slighty cloudy and bright in appearance. Deep ruby red in color and showing medium viscosity. On the nose the wine has a medium concentration of aromas such as ripe black currant, plum, and black cherry. Non-fruit aromas include herbs and tea. There is an earthy character represented by notes of iron. In addition there is a noticeable presence of oak marked by aromas of baking spices and pepper. On the palate the wine is bone dry with medium plus tannin, medium plus acidity, and medium alcohol. Overall the wine is medium in body with a medium finish and has a medium degree of complexity.
