Color dark cherry red with some black tones, inky, concentrated, full body. Despite so little air this still showed excellent depth on the nose of blackberry and black currant essence, spices, some tobacco, and oak. On the palate incredibly powerful black seed fruits, spices, fresh earth, and some tobacco show nicely before being overtaken by heavy tight tannins on the back end. Despite the major league tannins I still found this drinkable, and can see how it will achieve the WS95 in time.
