Wednesday, March 23, 2011 - Dark purple to black in color. Even the legs carry color as they stream back down the glass. Black cherry and vanilla on the nose. Full body, deep and rich in flavor. Despite the power and depth of this wine, it is extremely smooth. Well integrated cherry and blackberry fruit flavors with a nice balance of acid to carry the fruit and tannins to build the structure of the wine. Long finish. An exceptionally well done wine. The one thing I kept thinking was how much better balanced and integrated in flavor this wine had become in the last year in the cellar.
