Sunday, January 19, 2014 - Tasted non blind at home. PnP and also decanted for 3 hrs and drank along the way. Beautiful candied flower, red fruit and spice nose. Intense on the palate with more of the same from the nose with the addition hot peppers, plums, licorice and sour cherries. Very long and consistent finish. Medium acidity, medium tannins. While a very high ABV wine, it handles it very well and isn't very noticeable. I don't particularly like the style but if you like Grenache heavy blends, this one is a player.
