Wednesday, April 4, 2018 - Aged High End Bordeaux Blends (Jason P's, St. Paul, MN): Dark red color with a 7mm transitional bricked margin. Decanted for an hour; drank 1 glass over 3 hours. I was surprised it's been almost three years since visiting this gem. Once again I was mesmerized by the brilliant nose with a gorgeous perfume, leather, florals, sultry dark berries, damp earth, mushroom and scorched earth. The palate while not quite as compelling as the nose, still is showing great; dark sultry fruits, scorched earth, leather, a bit leaner, with nice integrated tannins and a long finish. Miles to go. My #2 WOTN after a stellar '90 Pichon Lalonde.
