Sunday, May 20, 2018 - From a nice looking bottle purchased on release, this wine had a deep red center with some puce at the rims. The dark complexion of the medium intensity nose was very 1993. It showed blackberries, tree bark, lanolin, and plums.

In the mouth, this wine was light and not showing much at first. After 4 hours of air, it was medium bodied with firm, rounded tannin, solid acidity, and excellent length.

This wine had the firm texture and dark flavors of the vintage. It is a long distance runner and I believe it is just coming into its zone. Drink over the next 10-15 years. It may even improve by a point or so if things go well.
